Samuel Angus Firebaugh diary, 1862-1864 [manuscript].

Diary, September 1862-March 1864, of Firebaugh of Rockbridge County, Va., a Confederate soldier with the 10th Virginia Regiment in the Shenandoah Valley, Northern Virginia, and Gettysburg campaigns. Firebaugh's entries are brief, but virtually daily. He noted his movements, picketing, drilling, preaching attended, furloughs, dining and lodging with neighboring civilians, attempts to arrange for subjstitutes, and other matters. Also included are an index, maps, and notes.
